Amboseli is known as the best place in Africa for getting up close to free-ranging elephants. You’ll hardly fail to see a roaming elephant around due to the large population of elephants in the park! It’s just one of many reasons the park is the second most popular in Kenya after Masai Mara.

Amboseli is also a photographer’s paradise. Those wonderful photos you’ve seen of elephants seemingly posing in front of snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro? They were taken here.

On the other hand The Ngorongoro Conservation Area protects the volcanically formed Crater Highlands, which are dotted with deep volcanic craters of which the best known, Ngorongoro, is the world’s largest intact caldera and a natural wildlife reserve with few peers. Ngorongoro safari tours offer your best chance in Tanzania of spotting all the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and black rhino) in one game drive. The crater is also notable for the spectacular scenic combination of the verdant plains of the lake-studded crater floor and imposing 600m-/1,968ft-high cliffs that enclose it on all sides.

Tour Itinerary

DAY 1:

NAIROBI
Arrival of your international flight at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. You will be met by our team outside the customs and immigration halls then transferred to your city hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 2:

NAIROBI – AMBOSELI

Breakfast and check out of your rooms. You will be briefed on your safari and introduced to your driver-guide. Proceed for a visit of the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. You will have lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant then drive to Amboseli National Park. Arrive and check in at your lodge/camp.

Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3:

AMBOSELI

You will spend this entire day in the park with morning and afternoon game drives.

Meals and overnight stay will be at your lodge/camp.

DAY 4:

AMBOSELI – NAMANGA – ARUSHA

After breakfast, check out and proceed for the Kenya-Tanzania border front at Namanga. Here you will go through customs formalities and exchange driver-guides then cross over to Tanzania. Arrive at your city hotel in Arusha and check in. Rest of the afternoon spent at leisure.

Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 5:

ARUSHA – TARANGIRE

Breakfast at your hotel then check-out. Drive to Tarangire National Park. Arrive and check in to your rooms. Lunch. Head out for an afternoon game drive in the park.

DAY 6:

TARANGIRE – SERENGETI

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park. Arrive at your lodge/camp and check in to your rooms. Lunch. Proceed for an afternoon game drive in the park until sunset.
